About Polebrook Hayes
At Polebrook Hayes we have been working with nature for over 25 years to live and to grow food sustainably in tune with the local climate and ecology. We seek to minimise our use of non-renewable resources and manual effort whilst maximising our food production and quality of life. Over the years we have trialled many different working methods and products and are constantly refining our methods as technology and our experience evolves. On this website we would like to share with you some of or experiences and offer suggestions and product ideas we have found to be useful.

Ecological Food Production
We farm with nature as much as possible in order to encourage a diverse wildlife population and maintain a naturally fertile soil. The farm is certified as ‘organic’ meaning that it is managed without any synthetic fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides and is registered with the Soil Association since 2003.  We are experimenting with methods of working which reduce human effort and minimise disturbance to the soil and surrounding ecology whilst increasing quality, reliability and quantity of crop production. We are a small horticultural holding specialising in fresh vegetable and salad crops supplied locally. The farm hosts the CLOGs cooperative of Leicestershire organic growers CSA and organic vegetable box delivery.
